and by regardless of the work, i didn't mean that i'd take a crappy paint job over a good one from a shop with a weird name. They are in new hampshire, only about an hour farther than manassas is from me. The only reason i'm not having them do the engine bay is because i'm doing the rebuild at my parents house in nova, where i lived when i joined the board 7 years ago, hence the name. You're not new, so i can't believe you've never heard anyone mention avalon for paint. Their show car (300zx) won everything it was entered in, featured in numerous magazines, and quite simply, had the most gorgeous paint job i've ever seen. Ever since I saw it, i've planned on having them paint my car. They've moved on to the 350 as their show car. I guess its just me, i have a thing with names. I never believed the "a rose by any other name" crap. I've always been for name brand stuff - clothing, schools, watches, performance parts, whatever. I'd be embarassed telling anyone that "mr spoiler" painted my car. If it were called "dan rose customs" or something even remotely professional sounding, then totally. let him paint rx7's (and install lambo doors - which they seem to be remarkably proud of), eclipses with horrid bodykits, miatas, celicas (again with horrid bodykits), civics, and mustangs, i'll take my car to paul.
